The UK Korean Friendship Association noting the ill boding and worsening tense situation on
the Korean peninsula today issued the following statement.
Our association supports the statement issued by the General Staff of the
Korean Peoples Army issued on January 24th.The remarks of the south Korean
puppet 'defence minister' are an intolerable and in themselves a wanton provocation
against peace.
It is the sovereign right of the DPRK to defend itself.This includes having
a nuclear deterrent.It is also the independent and sovereign right of the DPRK to
defend itself against so called "pre emptive strikes" which in reality are an act of
unprovoked aggression.We support the just stance of the DPRK to destroy the
commanding centres of the south Korean puppet regime.In doing so this would
destroy the source of war and the enemies of Korean reunification for good.

The south Korean fascist regime,which is an out and out puppet and creation of
US imperialism,is driving the situation close to war.Such a war would not only
be a fratcidical war but also engulf east Asia and could turn into a world war.UK KFA
demands south Korea stops war provocations at once and withdraws the remarks it
has made.
Furthermore we condemn the south Korean puppets for todays unpardonable
provocation in the West Sea against the DPRK!
